Is the class only for women over 40?
The class was created for people* over 40 to discuss needs specific to their stage in life on this topic, but people of all genders who would like to learn makeup skills would benefit from this class. We firmly believe in approaching aging in a positive way.
So if you're under 40 and wish to participate, you are welcome! There's no "carding at the door."
*We are welcoming and safe for cisgender women, transgender women and non-binary, gender queer individuals, inclusive of the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Both pros featured identify in the LGBTQA+ community.
Please don’t join if you don’t respect these conversations and values.
How do you address recommendations for women of color?
Our presenters have been a professional makeup artists for many decades, and make it a priority to address the spectrum of beautiful skin tones, and provide a broad variety of choices for products.
I feel like a total newbie when it comes to beauty. Will this class be "too advanced" for me?
Not at all! We’re all in different places and beauty isn’t something linear that you “master.” It’s something you grow deeper in and what you learn in the class will help you do that in simple, clear ways.
I’ve been into beauty for a long time. I have so many products, I could practically open my own shop. Will this class be too beginner/basic for me?
Since beauty and aging are an evolution, if you show up with an open mind, you’ll definitely learn new tricks that complement and upgrade what you’ve already been doing.
I'm not really into "the group thing." How much do I have to participate?
It's totally up to you. We think you'll have greater success by participating with other members of the group. You'll be exposed to suggestions, insights, and tips from others who can add value to your journey, and maybe you’ll make a friend or two along the way. But you can also use the membership for personal education purposes only if you'd like.
